Goodnews FM is a top-tier radio station in the Western and Central Regions of Ghana which has been in operations since 19th July 2002 and is duly registered with the Registrar General’s Department.

The station is currently located on the liberation road – H/N 137, Chapel Hill, opposite YMCA Takoradi in Western Region

Goodnews 96.3 fm is a music and talk radio station with heavy dose of news, socio-political, sports and economic content programmes which seek to raise awareness for redress by those in authority. The station predominantly transmits in Akan language, with just about 10% in English language. Goodnews fm broadcast on a 5-kilowatts state-of-the-art transmitter and an 8-bay antenna with coverage in the greater parts of Western region and part of Central Regions of Ghana, reaching a listenership audience of  about 2.5 million people.

As a radio station that is very popular and reputable in the Western Region, Goodnews FM has been and is still on top of the mind of listeners with attention grabbing and innovative programmes which sweep listenership across board.

STRATEGIC ALLIANCES:    

Goodnews FM is a sister station of Help FM (also in Takoradi), and has a strong affiliation with Adom FM, a leading radio station in Accra. This affiliation enables each party to out-match competition in its respective area of operation.

The company also has partnership arrangements with certain institutions such as Ghana Independent Broadcasters Association (GIBA), The National Road Safety Commission, The Registrar General Department, Sekondi-Takoradi Metro Assembly, some major   advertising agencies  in Ghana, and other international institutions.

MANAGEMENT & STAFF:  

The Company’s labor policy is geared towards qualified and experienced personnel.         The staff (both on-air and off-air)  are mostly graduates who are periodically taken through series of capacity building workshops  and other external training seminars to equip them help achieve the company’s strategic and corporate objectives.

Our management is internationally trained professionals who think globally and act locally by blending exotic experience with local realities using innovative style and good ethics.

Our executive Director is a management consultant with additional authority in radio management since 2002. The progammes manager also has over thirteen (13) years experience in radio programming
